Menorca Travel Guide 2017
Monday, 10 July 2017
Menorca is a small Balearic Island off of Spain. It's a fairly untouched island so it's not swarming with tourists, making it easier to focus on the culture and beauty surrounding you. Ciutadella is a great place to go for shopping, food and culture. There is also a beautiful port.
The plaza del born in Ciutdella is very picturesque with its town hall that dates back to the 19th century, surrounded by medieval buildings and beautiful gardens. It's such a great place to explore on foot.
The markets have a lot of clothes stalls and menorcan sandals (avarcas) pretty much anywhere you go. There are also a lot of pretty tapestries for sale and the typical tourist gifts. Last year I found an amazing stall selling crystals and geodes for amazing prices, but unfortunately it wasn't there this time around!
Ciutadella has lot of cute shops, one of my favourites is Pachamama, they have a lot of beautiful jewellery and handmade bags. Such a great collection compared to most of the other shops!
POP SHOP in Mahón is a great shop, very different to the others in the capital. I love shops like this as they have really cool and different products that are quite hard to find elsewhere. Like these huge unicorn candles!
If it wasn't such an awkward shape I would've bought the two bottom crates! I think this will be a DIY I try out if I can find a similar crate.
A great lunch spot is right outside Pretty Ballerinas in Mahón. Their menu has a great variety but they specialise in paella. I chose from the tapas menu as they're smaller portions and ending up going for the paprika nachos and a few other bits.
After a little drive, we randomly came across this quiet beach in Es Canutells. There are a few steep steps to get to the main beach but it's so worth it. The views are amazing and the sea is incredible. Something I always miss from my holiday is the crystal clear sea, perfect for scuba diving!
Binibèquer has a cute area full of seafood restaurants, little shops and hidden bars.
These are the sort of tourist gifts you'll find around menorca, not particularly to my taste but if you look around carefully you can find some pretty pieces that look like they're from anthropologie.
The seafood restaurants smell amazing, it's hard to decide which to go to as the menus so sound appetising. This one didn't sound as appealing but it had more vegetarian options. I ordered some garlic prawns which were delicious, we also ordered a bunch of tapas to share and try.
The store (COLL Creative Living) below is also great place for homeware, with their cute cushions and purses. They also has some amazing rugs I wish I could've got!
A hidden bar in Binibequer, Menorcan Cocktails. It's a really cool sort of outside bar. It feels really secluded and has a decent cocktail menu.
I ordered a piña colada if you can't tell by the pineapple and coconut!
Thanks for reading! Let me know in the comments if you've ever been to Menorca or would like to go!

Summer Garden Party // Red Candy
Monday, 19 June 2017
The UK has been having some very lovely weather over the past few days and most of us have taken advantage of this with a BBQ. These glasses from Red Candy are the perfect addition to any summer get together to add a splash of colour to the table. There are a range of pastel colours available, including rose, melon, blueberry and lemon, all inspired by sorbet. The ones pictured are rose and melon. They come in sets of 2 for £14, so you can easily mix and match to great a beautiful colourful layout!
They have a cool iridescent finish to them which reflects the sunlight beautifully. I also love how the colours reflect onto the table, it creates such a nice refreshing summer look and the touch of gold on the rim puts them even more on trend.
The glasses feel rather delicate so they wouldn't be ideal for children but they do make a unique house warming gift. If you're a fan of pastel glasses, Red Candy also stock pastel champagne and wine glasses that I would recommend trying out. I'm looking forward to getting good use out of these, they're perfect for summer and look so pretty outside!
Violet Voss Holy Grail Palette Review
Monday, 12 June 2017
VIOLET VOSS HOLY GRAIL PRO PALETTE £43
This palette has become my holy grail! It has a lot more warmer tones than my other palettes have, so it's been fun experimenting with shades I'm not used to. Violet Voss has probably created my favourite formula too as they have the perfect amount of pigment and are really easy to blend. I love how the entire palette works together, you could easily match any colours. I haven't tried them without an eyeshadow primer, but with one they last the entire time wearing the shadow. I initially bought this as I wanted some different shades for nights out and this palette had a great selection of mattes, satins and metals. It's a great size and the huge mirror inside is really handy. There was a moment where I was contemplating between this palette and the Modern Renaissance palette by ABH, but this one is better value as it comes with more shades and has more product in the pans. There are 20 shades, each pan holding 1.8 grams of product.

There comes a time in everyones lives where you find yourself needing a little bit of extra help, whether it be some painting or even a wedding planner. Bidvine* is the perfect location to find professionals for what you need. One particular service that stood out to me was the availability of event hair and makeup! This is perfect for important events, and would be particularly useful if you're a blogger, as well as their photography service which would be perfect for fashion posts.
Summer Scents
Saturday, 15 April 2017
It's well known that certain scents trigger memories, which may be why I love perfumes and fragrances so much. I received a PAIRFUM large bell shaped diffuser in 'Innocent Vanilla'. The large quantity and reeds ensure a long lasting fragrance from 6-9 months. It's worth investing under £40 for something that will last so long, looks amazing and smells even better! I've put mine in the living room, which is rather large and connects to the kitchen. Within a couple of hours I noticed both rooms had freshened up and smelt amazing. The dogs stay in this room too, so it's great to have something to keep the room fresh and smelling pleasant.
There are so many beautiful fragrances to choose from, including 'Trail of White Petals', 'Magnolias in Bloom' and 'Bergamot & White Tea'. You can find descriptions on their site which explains the scents, helping you find the perfect one! All of which are natural and non toxic, making them safe for your family.
