Savisto Stand Mixer Review
Sunday 28 August 2016
The Great British Bake Off is back! And what better way to celebrate than getting involved in some baking?! Savisto have a range of products perfect for having a go at some of the show stoppers on GBBO. This stand mixer is £95.99 and comes in black or red. It comes with a beater, dough hook and whisk attachments and a recipe book to follow. There are recipes ranging from pizza dough, biscuits, cakes, pies and pastries. I tried out the coffee cake, peanut biscuit and oat biscuit recipes; all of which were easy to follow and came out tasting amazing! A transparent splash guard and spatula is also included. There is a large 5.5 litre stainless steel mixing bowl. The bowl can easily be locking into place and the bottom of the mixer has suction cups to prevent spillages. There are 6 speed settings as well as a pulse mode and it comes with a 2 year manufacturers guarantee. The dimensions with the bowl are 450mm Width / 320mm Height / 233mm Depth.
The beater is perfect for cake, icing, creams, doughs and batters. The large whisk is great for lighter batters and the dough hook can be used for mixing and kneading to create pizzas and pies. If you're new to baking or even a professional chef, this mixer seems a great tool to experiment with.
Pandora Rose Collection // T.H. Baker
Saturday 27 August 2016
Pandora creates some beautiful charms and this floral charm from the Pandora Rose Collection is no exception. The charm features pretty daisies set in 14ct rose gold plated metal. It's a great way to enjoy spring throughout the year. Even if you don't have a charm bracelet, you could easily put it on a rose gold chain for a necklace. It doesn't take long for Christmas to creep around the corner and this would be a perfect gift for a loved one.
This charm would look amazing with the other pieces from the rose collection. There are many beautiful charms from the collection but it would also look great mixed with silver charms. You can find this charm on T.H Baker for £55.
Tropic Skin Care Review: Vegan Makeup
Thursday 11 August 2016
I love trying out new brands and Tropic is probably one of my favourites I have come across whilst blogging! Firstly, Tropic is a vegan brand which instantly makes them amazing! They have products for skin care, body care and makeup. I have tried out some of their makeup, although I wish I could try it all out as everything looks so great. The packaging is also really nice.
PURE EFFECTS BEAUTY BOOSTER: £22 This is a silky beauty boosting serum that creates an invisible barrier to protect your skin against daily pollution, UVA/UVB and HEV artificial lighting. Personally, I am really conscious about protecting my skin from these things so it is helpful to have a product that achieves this. Mine is in the shade light and provides great coverage yet isn't cakey or heavy at all. It also makes my skin look really fresh and radiant, the smell is also amazing and tropical. I can't quite pin point the scent but I think it is the jojoba inside. It is so easy to use as you can really control how much that comes out, it's almost like a pipette as you can apply it drop by drop. I love the fact it has SPF 35 as I'm always putting a high SPF on my face to protect my skin. The beauty booster also comes with a beauty drop, which can also be bought separately for £6.
PURE PRECISION BEAUTY DROP: £6 This sponge is very dense and has a flat side to apply makeup even more precisely. The pointed edge is also perfect for the eyes and nose. The rounder part is great for creating an even coverage.
CORRECTING CREAM CONCEALER: £22 (currently on sale for £16.50) Mine is in the shade light and it blends into the skin really well. The formula is creamy which makes it easy to apply and provides great coverage. It has oat oil, zinc oxide and arnica extract inside to help fight blemishes and calm redness. This concealer also has SPF 35, providing further kindness to skin. Using this concealer seems to not only conceal imperfections but also help skin to improve. I love using this as it blends so well into my skin and is a perfect match.
Easy steps to whitening teeth
Wednesday 10 August 2016
CB12 have produced some great mouthwashes but have recently come out with a whitening mouthwash! I've been using it for around 2 weeks and noticed a whitening effect right away. Using this twice daily really makes a big difference. It works strongly but doesn't have a strong unbearable taste that most mouthwashes have. It leaves breath feeling clean and fresh everytime. I love the packaging, the cap is mirrored and it looks different to most basic mouthwashes. This is probably the easiest and cheapest way to whiten your teeth. Take a look at the CB12 site for a product that best suits you.
Hair Care for dry hair // Joico Review
Tuesday 9 August 2016
Joico produces products for care and colour for practically any hair type. I recently tried out their products that are for dry/thick hair;
CO+ WASH MOISTURE: This is a whipped cleansing conditioner to nourish dry hair. I simply applied it from my roots to ends and rinsed it out. You don't need a lot of product which makes it last longer. I love the scent and it has left my hair so moisturised and soft! All of these products combined have made my hair feel like I've just got back from the salon, they're amazing!
MOISTURE RECOVERY TREATMENT BALM: This product claims to not only banish dry hair strands but also increase hair strength and reduce breakage. It has honestly achieved this with one wash! My hair is already stronger, normally if I pulled at a strand it would break but it hasn't after using this. All you have to do is leave it to soak in your hair for 5 minutes and your dry, frizzy hair will be renewed! It will leave your hair so soft and shiny.
MOISTURE RECOVERY LEAVE-IN MOISTURISER: This is a spray that you apply onto towel dried hair and then comb through. No rinsing is required. It helps to detangle hair and deliver body and shine to the hair. I love this product, it is so easy to use and smells amazing like the others do. You can find these products on the Joico site or places like Beauty Bay.
MORPHE 10CON PALETTE REVIEW
Sunday 7 August 2016
The 10CON palette in made up of 10 concealers for cooler skin tones. They're very creamy and provide great coverage. I love using creamy products as they seem to melt into my skin really well and leave a flawless finish. I sometimes have dry skin too so some powdery products tend to emphasise that. Despite some creamy concealers coming off as cakey, this morphe palette is far from it. The colours blend well into my skin. I bought this palette with the intention of using it to contour as it has an amazing variety of shades. I think it would be hard to not find a shade that works well with your skin tone.
The palette is very versatile as you can use it for simple concealing but also to create an entire new look by contouring. I also bought the Morphe M422 brush which is great. It is a very dense brush but it is also soft so it easy to apply eyeshadow evenly.

This palette is £11.95 from Beauty Bay. If you have tried any morphe palettes let me know what you thought of them!
