Christy home accessories review
Wednesday, 11 February 2015
I received a candle (£40), pillow (£30) and a throw (£99). All are available on House of Fraser. The candle has two wicks, and smells great. The best way to describe it, is as though it's description on House of Fraser; a blend of oriental spices with cedar and jasmine freshened with notes of citrus, all resting on a warming base of amber.
The pillow is a shiny kind of material, it holds its form well and looks great with pretty much anything.
The throw is a great quality, you definitely get what you pay for. I love the colour, it's shown on a chair in the picture however I use it as a throw for my bed. I suppose that just shows you, like most throws, how versatile it is.

Posterista review
Saturday, 7 February 2015
Posterista evidently prints a poster with your pictures on, you can upload them from facebook, instagram or just from your gallery. There are a lot of different sizes and you can even make one in the shape of a heart. I have a 40cm x 30cm poster and I used pictures from my prom.
The frustrating thing is that you can't choose where you want to put the pictures, you can only shuffle them around. I had to keep shuffling to make sure none of the pictures I included twice were next to each other. I chose a few pictures more than once just because I didn't want all my prom photos on there; you have to have a minimum amount so I duplicated some.
The pictures turned out great and I love the white spacing around them, but I would prefer the pictures to be bigger. It's an interesting way to incorporate memoires into wall art. The frame I used didn't come with it, however you can get a thin black frame from posterista. I got my frame from here.

Get your free Benefit Roller Lash Mascara before it's released! - ELLE UK
Thursday, 5 February 2015
It's been a while since I've purchased a magazine, but how could I resist when Elle included a free sample of Benefits new mascara 'Roller Lash'? Being a fan of Benefits 'They're Real' mascara, I knew I had to try out this out. I'm glad I did, it's even better! For just £4 you can get this great sample along with this seasons trends and an update on Keira Knightley.
Roller Lash applies evenly to lashes, extending their length and curling their shape with just one stroke. With one application I knew I'd definitely be purchasing the full size when it becomes available. The packaging is so pretty and I love the concept. Let me know your thoughts on the mascara and if you haven't tried it out yet, what are you waiting for?

Want long healthy hair?
Sunday, 1 February 2015
Hairburst helps your hair grow longer and healthier. I was sent a bottle to try out. My hair naturally grows rather quickly so I couldn't really judge the product on that factor. I can however tell you that since using hairburst my hair is stronger and much less elastic which was my main problem. I've also noticed my hair has reduced in breakage which shows this product is worth giving a try.
I find it hard to take these kind of supplements as they tend to smell horrid. Saying that, if you want great hair I guess it's what some people need to do. If I ever have any hair problems I'll be sure to pick up some more hairburst.
Sorry for my poor attempt at before and after pictures. I just wanted to get this post up asap as I'm thinking of getting my hair cut.
How to choose the right University for you
Wednesday, 14 January 2015
Choosing the right University is a big step, so how can you tell which one is right for you? There are a number of factors to look at when making the all important decision. What course you wish to study, whether you'll be on campus or off site, the duration of your study, distance from home, the requirements to even get into the University and then there's the financial side to it - student loans, how much and how to repay? and budgeting.
I'm currently in year 12 (17 years old) and already looking at which Universities to apply for. I've been advised by my sixth form to write my personal statement now (which my mentor will guide me on) this puts less pressure on me for when I'm in year 13. There is a big leap from GCSE's to A Level, so to be already thinking about universities and the course I want to study is rather overwhelming. Also for me, actually deciding on the course was a struggle until I decided to just do what I enjoy. How can you expect to get through University if you don't even enjoy the course?
Choosing the right course and university requires lots of research! The more you put into it the more certain and happy you'll feel. It's probably not the most exciting process for some, but it will pay off. Doing this early will give you time to focus on studying and getting the grades you need. It's also worth looking at league tables based on which universities are best for your chosen course rather than what University is the top in the UK. Open day's are worth attending, I doubt it'll be any fun turning up to the University you chose and not enjoying it when you're there. It's also easier to compare the Universities, I've been to a gig on a University campus, the place looked amazing I just wanted to look around. I even preferred it to a University that I'd attended to sit through lectures.
Kiss FM presenter AJ went to the University of Greenwich to show potential students what you can get from their faculties which helps the student get an idea of what the University has to offer.

Young Mobile UK
Monday, 22 December 2014
I received a Vodafone R207 MiFi dongle and a Vodafone Smart 4 Turbo smartphone from Young Mobile . I'm so used to my iPhone 5 it was strange at first. But once I got the hang of the Vodafone Smart 4 I couldn't put it down. I got so used to easily pressing the back button that when I went back onto my iPhone I'd be tapping at a blank part of the screen next to the home button... I got spotify premium for a month and honestly, I've never listened to so much music in that amount of time. When you go back to the free version you realise how good and worth it it is to buy premium. The phone itself is good, I like how the back camera is positioned in the middle of the phone. However the quality of the camera isn't great and one of the main things I use my phone for is the camera. I like the ways the phone can be unlocked (weird, I know). At one point I set it to face unlock where the face camera opens and all you have to do is hold it up to your face and you're in.
These tags come with the phone, it's such a good idea. You can set them to activate anything you wish. All you have to do is put the phone onto the tag at it activates which ever mode you've set it to.
The wifi dongle is so helpful, I basically brought it with me everywhere. Dongles basically create a Wifi hotspot wherever you are, it's very simple to set up and use. Once it's up and running, multiple devices can connect to the wifi. My nan doesn't have wifi at her home so this was a life saver haha. I recommend following +YoungMobileUK as they're always doing competitions to win products! I won a pocketboom wireless speaker - it's small I was surprised how loud that thing can go..

Trinite Village
Sunday, 21 December 2014
What's a bath without a bath bomb? The only bath products I've used is Lush, that is until Trinite Village sent me these awesome bath bombs and soaps - or in the words of Trinite Village 'Whoopie Blasters' and 'Bath Mallows'. How pretty are they all though?? I couldn't wait to run a hot bath and try them out!
The pink soap smells amazing and is currently sitting beside my sink. It looks so pretty and most importantly it does its job. It doesn't feel harsh on the skin which is important to me as I have sensitive skin. All of the soaps on Trinite Village look so pretty, I just want them all..
The blue soap has an amazing colour! I'm not too keen on the smell. I was expecting it to smell like apples or something fruity - it smells soapy more than anything. It smells like something my nan would use but in saying that it makes it a good present. It's just not for me.
'Spoiled Pretty' bath mallow (the pink one) smelt sooooooooo good - raspberries! The way it fizzed in the bath was awesome too, afterwards the bath was a light pink and I noticed the white flower floating around for a while haha. It contains cocoa and shea butters, pure geranium and vetiver essential oils which they claim to 'relax' and 'balance' you, which I found to be true. It's worth taking a look at the rest of the bath mallows on the site, they're all so pretty.
My favourite was the chocolate/coffee 'whoopie blaster' - I'm not sure what the actual scent was but that's what I smelt. The smell was so much stronger than the bath mallow it smelt incredible. The sprinkles made the bath look like it was sparkling. I love the shape of the 'whoopie blasters'.
