Silk pillow on a bed

I always hear about the benefits that silk pillows have on your hair and skin, so I was really excited to try it out this super king size silk pillow from SilkBeddingDirect. Getting enough sleep is essential to look and feel our best. My pillow arrived in a protective case which is very useful as I travel from uni a lot. I've made use of it already as I brought it home with me over the Christmas break because I can't imagine sleeping without it. It's such a huge soft fluffy pillow so it feels really luxurious. They also have duvets which I imagine feel just as amazing. The pillow is currently £65.45 and you can apply the code PARTY15 for 15% off by 30th December. To apply the discount just click on the link at the checkout that says 'I have a gift voucher or promo code'. The bedding is available on their website and on Amazon

The silk pillow is hypo-allergenic and clean from dust mites and bed bugs as they can't live in mulberry silk. According to their site, no chemicals have been used on the material, so it's 100% natural. They claim it has anti-ageing properties as it contains protein sericin and several amino acids that also nourish and protect the hair while sleeping. I've found it to be really comfortable and I've noticed an improvement in my sleep. I'm a light sleeper and rarely have a night where I don't wake up at some point. I wasn't having a full nights rest until I got this pillow and I'm not sure if it's just coincidence as my sleeping pattern alters frequently, but recently I haven't been waking up in the middle of the night. The pillow filling makes it feel weightless compared to other pillows I've used. We spend half of our life sleeping, so it's really worth investing in the right bedding, mattress and bed. Sleep is so important, whether or not you decide to buy a silk pillow, make sure you're getting the best sleep you can.

Benefits of silk pillows:

- Mulberry silk breathes and wicks away excess heat and moisture if we become too hot but retains heat on colder nights keeping us snug and warm.
Air encased between the layers of fine silk threads also help act as thermal regulators to keep you just at the right sleeping temperature.
People with allergies and asthma benefit because silk is hypo-allergenic and does not contain bed bugs, mites and other microscopic life that live in almost all other types of bedding.
